Auction Details:
Pomm is auctioning off two of her most famous original
watercolor paintings, "Unspoken Courage" and "We Believe
in Peace," on September 10, 2009. A portion of the proceeds
will directly benefit the 9/11 Fund. (www.911fund.org)
You may be most familiar with "Unspoken Courage" as limited editions of this piece hang in over 35 Fire Stations in New York City and Manhattan. One limited edition piece also hangs at the NYPD headquarters and another hangs at the training academy on the three-story Memorial Wall which is a tribute to the 9/11 NYPD fallen heroes. Plaques of the deceased firefighters surround "Unspoken Courage." As Pomm's painting is the only piece selected for this memorial, "Unspoken Courage" has become the official 9/11 tribute painting. It represents courage and unity for all. It honors bravery beyond expectation.
Pomm's piece "We Believe in Peace" was created with the intention of advancing the cause of world peace. A limited edition of this piece hangs in the United Nations and has been presented to multiple dignitaries and diplomats world wide.
The original painting of "Unspoken Courage" was appraised for $200,000 over three years ago; now it is priceless due to the historical moment that it represents. Bidding for this piece will start at $100,000 at 9:00 AM PST on September 10, 2009 and final bids will need to be in by 5:00 PM PST. The appraisal value for "We Believe in Peace" is $150,000 and bidding will start at $75,000 during the same hours as above. Bidding may be done by phone or email.
